about

"Back To Your Mother, The Abyss", released on Concrete Records, is a dark, electronic, instrumental meditation on the themes of climate change, psychology, and psychedelics. At times, the album veers into the eerie world of sound design, only to have melody and form reasserted in the next track. The album is meant to be listened to as a narrative whole. An accompanying music video, for the track “Glaciers Becoming Rockets”, was created by Ruffino himself, who is also a film editor.

Bank of Forever Brooklyn, New York

Bank of Forever is the instrumental, electronic project of Collin Ruffino. Ruffino started his music career in the band Home Video, with releases on the label Warp Records (Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Oneohtrix Point Never). Inspired by dark, slow films and the excesses of late capitalism, Bank of Forever creates ambient worlds that suggest psychological narratives with uncertain endings. ... more
